Tour dates are finally starting to emerge for a fall Tremonti tour. After two shows in September, Tremonti will embark on the HardDrive Live Tour with special guest Man the Mighty. So far nine dates have been announced and more announcements are coming soon. Tickets go on sale August 17. Keep an eye out for the launch of the HardDrive Live Tour site to launch. Also, check your local radio stations and MarkTremonti.com for upcoming contests.
Mark recently sat down with Fuse to discuss the Tremonti Project and you can check it out here. Mark talks about how the project came together, his influences, and the possibility of some covers and AB/Creed songs finding their way into the setlist of the upcoming Tremonti tour.

Three Days Grace has released their new single entitled “Chalk Outline” today and also will begin selling preorders of their new album Transit of Venus. The band has brought in a new producer, Don Gilmore (Linkin Park, Hollywood Undead, Bullet For My Valentine) and it’s definitely evident in the sound of this song. Slipknot has announced that fans who cannot make KnotFest this year will be able to stream the concert live in a pay per view fashion. In addition to seeing the concert in real time, fans will be able to pause, rewind, and re-watch the concert at their convenience over the next thirty days. There will also be interviews and bonus content to check out. A trailer Slipknot is calling “The Road to Knotfest” can be seen here.
Guns N Roses will be taking over the Las Vegas Strip this fall. The band has announced that they will be taking up residency at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino playing 12 shows starting on October 31.
Guitarings - Low Hanging Fruit Tutorial Part 2
Mark just wrapped up shooting VH1 Classic’s That Metal Show. The new season begins airing on August 11 so keep your eyes peeled for Mark’s guest spot. As soon as we know the exact date of his appearance we will throw it up for you all to check out. Here is a pic of Mark and the King after filming.
Mark is also set to take over MusicRadar’s twitter account to answer all fan questions. All you gotta do is make sure you are online and following @MRadarGuitars by 7 PM BST (2 PM EST / 11 AM PST) tomorrow August, 8. Mark will then reply to the fan questions as they come in.

RANDY BLYTHE UPDATE
Lamb of God front man Randy Blythe has finally been released on bail from a Czech prison. The tour is still cancelled, but guitarist Mark Morton has said there may be plans to start one up in the near future. As you could expect, Randy was very gracious of the overwhelming support he received from family, friends, and fans. You can read his official statement here.
Today we have for you a FRET12 Exclusive video where Mark Tremonti breaks down the solo from “You Waste Your Time” and teaches you how to play it. In the same fashion as the Sound and the Story DVD where he broke down the solos from Blackbird, Mark lets you in on how he put together this shredtastic piece of music. Tremonti has announced a New York show Wednesday, September 12 at the Highline Ballroom. Tickets go on sale tomorrow, Friday the 3rd at noon. You can get your tickets here. Randy Blythe is still being held in a Czech prison due to the manslaughter charges brought upon him. Because of this Lamb of God has cancelled their tour with Dethklok and Gojira that was set to begin yesterday, August 1.
Coheed and Cambria has formally announced plans for a double concept album titled “The Afterman” which will be released in two installments on October 9, 2012 and in February 2013. The first disc will be called “Ascension” and the second will be “Decension.” An album trailer released Tuesday morning can be viewed here.
Former Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic confirmed that he will be working with former bandmate Dave Grohl on music for the upcoming documentary on Sound City Studios.

Tremonti’s “All I Was” lands at #29 overall and top 5 in rock!!
It’s official! Mark has been named the greatest guitarist of the JRR Era thanks to all of you fans out there. Over 20,000 votes were cast and Mark came out on top. This could not have been done without the help of the Army of 12. Great job guys!
