Curing Anthrax Withdrawals

Anthrax has just released their brand new song, ”Fight ‘Em ‘Til You Can’t”. It is the first new music from the band since 2003’s album We’ve Come For You All.

The band released this statement with the song: “To all of our friends around the world — Anthrax fans are the most loyal fans ever. You’ve been waiting a long, long time for us to release new music. With Joey back in the band, we know that the anticipation is really high, and we love you for that. So, as a way for us to say thank you, we decided to make our brand-new track, 'Fight 'Em 'Til You Can't', available as a free download, giving all of you a taste of what’s to come on our first new studio album in eight years, 'Worship Music', that will be out September 13. Thank you for sticking with us my friends and now join us on this zombie killing thrill ride we call 'Fight 'Em 'Til You Can't'.”

The band has released a new song from the album featuring Wiz KhalifaCheck it out here.

Taylor’s Take

Slipknot/Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor is a busy man. Still, he found time to write a book. However, Taylor got creative with it; instead of writing an autobiography like others in the rock ‘n’ roll world, chose to offer his thoughts on the Seven Deadly Sins. Look for the book, Seven Deadly Sins, to hit stores July 12.

Brand New Bush

In 2010, Bush reunited with frontman Gavin Rossdale at the helm once again. The band will be releasing a brand new album - the first in a decade - this fall. Rossdale and company are giving fans a sneak peak, with a free download of the brand new song entitled “All My Life.” Listen to it here.

Guns N’ Reunion

Duff McKagan might be kicking himself. In a recent interview at the Download Festival, former Guns N’ Roses and Velvet Revolver bassists, now Loaded frontman, said this:

"It would be, it will be, really fun to go to South America and the U.K. with Loaded and Izzy [Stradlin] to do a tour together…he and I talked about it and it’d be great.”

McKagan’s comments sparked another internet craze over a possible GNR reunion; a department in which McKagan’s been making waves having played with each member of the original line-up over the last year, including a concert with the current Guns N’ Roses line-up in October 2010. Maybe, just maybe, it will happen…

Tremonti Van Halen

Alter Bridge/Creed guitarist Mark Tremonti sat down with Mulatschag TV and talked about listening to the entire new Van Halen album after being invited to do so by the band’s bassist Wolfgang Van Halen. How about an Eddie Van Halen vs. Mark Tremonti guitar battle?

Zombie Cleaning Up

Metal legend and film director Rob Zombie has turned in a new direction. The shock rocker just directed a commercial for the laundry detergent, Woolite. Check out the commercial here.

Metallica’s New Album

Legendary musician Lou Reed and the metal gods of Metallica have written a new album together. The collaborators had locked themselves away in Metallica’s home studio in San Francisco, successfully keeping the project under wraps until now… Read Rolling Stone’s article for more on the newly-released information.

A Brand New Announcement

New York rock band Brand New has announced five shows on the West Coast in September. The band has been quiet since the headlining tour for their highly successful album Daisy. The release of the album fulfilled the band’s contract requirements with Interscope Records, providing them the opportunity to freely navigate - sans label restrictions. In early 2010, drummer Brian Lane hinted at purely digital future releases or possible free music for fans. Either way, we’re jealous of all you on the West Coast!
